This Refund Policy supplements the CineDZ Master Refund Policy.
Overview
CineDZ Fund is a crowdfunding platform. This policy covers refunds for campaign contributions and any platform fees.
1. Understanding Crowdfunding
⚠️ Important: Crowdfunding contributions are not purchases. When you back a campaign:
- You are supporting a creative project
- Projects may not complete as planned
- Rewards are not guaranteed
- This differs from traditional purchases
2. Automatic Refunds
2.1 Campaign Doesn't Reach Goal
✅ Full Refund: If a campaign does not reach its funding goal, all contributions are automatically refunded within 7-10 business days.
2.2 Payment Processing Failure
If your payment fails to process at campaign end, no charge occurs.
2.3 Campaign Cancelled by Creator
If a creator cancels their campaign before funding closes, all contributions are refunded.
3. Refund Requests for Active Campaigns
3.1 Before Campaign Ends
- Cancel your pledge anytime before campaign ends
- No charge will be processed
- No refund needed (funds not yet collected)
3.2 After Campaign Successfully Funds
Limited Refund Window:
- Refund requests within 24 hours of campaign end: Usually approved
- Refund requests after 24 hours: At creator discretion
- Once funds are transferred to creator: Generally non-refundable
4. Creator Disputes
If a creator fails to deliver rewards or misuses funds:
- Contact the creator directly first
- If unresolved, report to support@cinedz.com
- We will investigate and may mediate
- Refunds from creator's received funds may be possible
- Legal action may be necessary for significant fraud
Note: CineDZ Fund acts as a platform, not a guarantor of project completion.
5. Platform Fees
5.1 For Failed Campaigns
No platform fees are charged for campaigns that don't reach their goal.
5.2 For Successful Campaigns
- Creator refunds backer: Platform fee on refunded amount is non-refundable
- Campaign cancelled by platform: Full fee refund to creator
6. How to Request a Refund
- Email billing@cinedz.com
- Include campaign name and your email
- Provide contribution amount and date
- Explain reason for refund request
Response Time: 3-5 business days
Refund Processing: 7-10 business days to original payment method
7. Non-Refundable Situations
- Backer's remorse after campaign succeeds
- Project delays (common in film production)
- Reward quality dissatisfaction
- Changes in personal financial circumstances
